TX26 – Designed for Easy Installation and Effective Rat Prevention

TX26 is Nordisk Innovation’s latest rat barrier, developed in close collaboration with professional sewer technicians. The focus has been simple: a robust, Danish-made solution that is easy to assemble, install, service, and adapt, without compromising effective rat prevention in the sewer system.

TX26 LOCK is the result of more than two years of development. We combined experience from our previous solutions with continuous feedback and concrete improvement suggestions from customers both in Denmark and internationally. Danish sewer professionals have been an important part of the process, and their hands-on experience has shaped the design, assembly, flow, and maintenance of the product.

What’s in the Box?

TX26 comes complete and ready for installation. The box includes:

  • TX26 rat barrier with installed flap

  • Induction manual

  • Bag with screw and sleeve for mounting the plastic sign

  • Plastic sign for installation in the manhole

Everything is pre-assembled, so you can start the job quickly without additional parts or adjustments.

Assembling the TX26 Rat Barrier

Assembly of the TX26 is simple and logical:

  1. Install the wings; the order does not matter.
  2. Assemble the rotating tube with the PVC washer first, followed by the stainless steel washer.
  3. Mount the rotating tube onto the top plate.
  4. Place the locking washer onto the bolt.
  5. Tighten the flat nut so the rotating tube is secured.
  6. Tap the flap onto the locking washer toward the flat nut to lock it.
  7. Check that the rotating tube and wings move freely.
  8. Install the flap correctly according to the flow direction in the manhole.
  9. Lock the flap in place on the top plate.
  10. Perform a final functional check of all moving parts.

The open design and precise fit ensure good flow and minimal risk of clogging.

Removing the TX26 Rat Barrier

TX26 is designed with service in mind and can be easily removed for inspection:

  1. Remove the flap.
  2. Tap the flap on the locking washer back.
  3. Unscrew the flat nut and remove the locking washer.
  4. Loosen the bolt and remove the rotating tube.
  5. Remove the wings.
  6. Remove the stainless steel washer and PVC washer from the rotating tube.

Removal can be done quickly and safely, even during repeated service visits.

Flap Reversal

TX26 has a reversible flap, so the same product can be used on both inlet and outlet sides:

  1. Pull the lock back toward the fixed stop to release the flap.

  2. Pull the flap free from the fixed pin.

  3. Slide the flap down and remove it.

  4. Reverse the flap and reinstall it in the top plate.

  5. Lock the pin and hole together.

  6. Pull the lock into place until a click is heard.

  7. Check that the flap is correctly seated and moves freely.

No tools are required for reversing the flap, providing maximum flexibility on the job.
